Leadership Alchemy Program at NASA Wins Another Award!
For the past five years, the Institute for Embodied Wisdom and project partner Bridges In Organizations, Inc. have teamed up to design and deliver the Leadership Alchemy Program to the next generation of leaders from NASA's headquarters in Washington, D.C. and the Goddard Spaceflight Center in Greenbelt MD.

This past June, the Leadership Alchemy Program won the annual award for outstanding instructional design from the prestigious Training Officer's Conference in Washington, D.C. Project partner Dr. Kanu Kogod, CEO of Bridges in Organizations, Inc. and project customer Gail Williams from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center were on hand at the luncheon to accept the award.

The Awards Ceremony/Luncheon was held from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 13th, 2006 at the Ft. Leslie McNair Officers' Club in Washington, D.C. Kanu Kogod and Gail Williams were on hand to receive the awards. Scott Coady was unable to attend as he was engaged leading several Art of Leadership Mastery workshops in California.

"We are honored and pleased to have been acknowledged in this way," commented Ms. Williams, as she accepted the award on behalf of the Leadership Alchemy Program, NASA and program leaders, Scott Coady, Kanu Kogod. "We are gratified that NASA employees recognize the value of authentic leadership and for taking our teachings to heart, improving themselves and the culture at NASA as ambassadors of positive change."

This is not the first time the team has been honored. Leadership Alchemy is considered to be a "Federal Best Practice" by the Federal Consulting Group. The 10-month program was successfully piloted in 2002 by 16 members of Goddard's Financial and Resources Management Community. In 2003, the pilot was expanded Center-wide for scientists, engineers, and professional-administrative employees, both non-supervisors and supervisors. The program continues to receive high acclaim from Goddard, Headquarters, and other Federal Agency participants.
