In this retreat, Hernan Braveheart will guide us in connecting more deeply to our hearts, and discovering the power and precision that is ready to be awakened within. From his recent writing, Hernan tells us:
"We permanently live with two different desires in our mind, a spiritual desire and a human desire, walking in two directions at the same time. In one hand, we wish to fulfill our true destiny here on earth, which is our spiritual agenda. On the other hand, we put our security first, becoming conservative and restricted by fears; afraid to die and afraid to live, which is a human agenda that prevents us from weaving the fabric of our true destiny." During the retreat, Hernan Braveheart will guide us in practices to begin to develop the following awareness and skills:
- Become aware of when we are coming from our head and when we are coming from our heart
- Experience our heart’s intelligence (certainty)
- Use the body as the container of our full experience with our heart as its center
- Develop trust in your innate capacity to perceive the truth
- Locate the center of your awareness and move that center to other locations in order to expand the universe of your awareness
- Use language with a heart centered quality
- Develop the art of authenticity
These practices will involve bodywork/sacred dance and postures, ritual / prayer and movement of energy, lecture and dialog, and sitting in silence.
Hernan Braveheart is the founder of Arawaka Ceremonial Center northeast of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Born in Peru he was trained as a healer in his own country and then became a Lakota medicine man. His connection with both South American and North American Spiritual traditions generates the dedication of his work to the fulfillment of the prophecy of the eagle and the condor. According to this prophecy, the union of the spiritual ways of the South and North America will bring major healing to the earth and all peoples. |
This course will be conducted in a retreat like setting at a stunningly beautiful, private and historic Craftsman estate on over fifty acres in Ojai, California. Participation in this retreat requires staying on property on both Friday and Saturday nights.

It's Ojai, so casual and comfortable is always the way to go. Weather can be very warm during the day and cool at night. Temperatures can range between 60-80 degrees during the day and 35-50 degrees at night. The key is to bring layers and check the weather.

The retreat site does not allow children on the premises between the ages of eight months and six years old.
Full payment required at the time of booking and is fully refundable until October 27, 2006, less a $50 administrative fee. Cancellations from October 28 - November 3, 50% refund. No refunds given after November 3, 2006 by 5PM PST, and you will forfeit your payment unless your space is filled by a waiting list participant, then you will received a 50% refund.
